10.09.2010 The Cossack’ Weeks on the cruise ferry Princess Maria all September long!
 September 9th the holiday that signalized the beginning of “The Cossacks’ Weeks” on board the ferry Princess Maria was held at The Olympia Terminal. The passengers, who came to one of Helsinki’s central sea ports for registration, were welcomed with the famous Russian hospitality. There’s even an old Russian saying: “Honour your guest, and you’ll be respected”. Princess Maria cooks prepared pancakes with jam and kvas. The show program included typical Cossack dances and soulful songs. When entering the ferry, the guests were treated with the famous Cossack vodka and appetizers: suet (salo) with rye bread, onion and cucumber.

Autumn is a very colourful season. All September long enjoy new shows from St. Petersburg Music Hall on the cruise ferry Princess Maria.

Since childhood Dmitry Khrustalev wanted to become a dancer, Viktor Vasiliev – a football player and Polina Sibagatullina dreamed of becoming a woman. Well, only Polina’s dream came true. The famous actors’ trio, which has become popular with the public since their days in KVN ("Club of the Merry and Inventive"), will present their play in Columbus Bar, Deck 7 of the cruise ferry “Princess Maria”. The lively performance and naughtiness will amuse everyone!

07.09.2010 September, 3rd – the 100 000th passenger stepped on board the cruise ferry Princess Maria
St. PeterLine – the operator of the ferry line “St. Petersburg – Helsinki” – welcomed its 100 000th passenger! Chernov Alexej has become the milestone passenger. On September, 3rd he and his fellow traveler Julia Nikitenko set off on the cruise to Finland. The winners were presented with a certificate for 10 cruises (valid for 1 year) and a voyage in Deluxe Class Cabin. According to calculations, the ice-class cruise ferry with the capacity of 34 000 register tons will carry over 180 000 passengers during the period from April to December, 2010.

The respective changes in Russian Legislation have been adopted with the support of Saint-Petersburg City Government. In accordance with the revised law visa free regime will be extended for ferry passengers of all nationalities traveling to the ports of Russian Federation.

"Princess Maria" is a 34 000 GRT modern passenger ferry which can accommodate up to 1638 passengers on board and carry up to 395 vehicles.

606 cabins of different types will create excellent conditions for travelling between Saint-Petersburg and Helsinki in budget and in style way.

The vessel was built in Finland and until nowadays was operated by first-class Danish ferry operator (DFDS A/S). Before operations start “Princess Maria” will be refreshed, renewed and specially equipped in compliance with all international conventions and modern comfort demands.
